The Logos—God in expression and the Light in every human being
The Logos is the living expression of God, His active, creative, and conscious manifestation throughout the universe. If Absolute Being is the Supreme Reality, beyond time, space, and form, the Logos is God in action—the consciousness that creates, sustains, orders, and permeates all things. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1). This Word—in Greek, Logos—is the Divine Mind, the Absolute Reason and Love that gave birth to the world and continues to hold it in being.
The Logos is Light. Not physical light, but conscious Light that reveals, awakens, guides, and regenerates. As the Gospel of John says, “That was the true Light, which enlightens every man coming into the world” (John 1:9). This Light is not separate from us. It shines in every human soul as a divine spark, as a seed of Truth and Life. Therefore, every human being has a part of the Logos within themselves—they are, in a profound sense, an individualized Logos, a unique expression of Divinity.
Through Logos, God created all universes and expresses Himself through us. We are created “in His image and likeness” (Genesis 1:26), and this image is not physical but rather consciousness, reason, love, freedom, and the ability to consciously create. To be human is, in reality, to be a miniature Logos, a living extension of the Logos of Christ—God incarnate in the Human Spirit.
Jesus Christ is the incarnate Logos—the full manifestation of this Light in human form. He revealed to us both the visage of God and the authentic capabilities of humankind. In Him, we see what we can become when the Logos within us is allowed to shine fully. He tells us, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life” (John 14:6). This means that through Him, not only is the way to God revealed to us, but also our true nature.
The Logos is also the inner force that calls us to wake up—it is the light of consciousness that urges us to choose righteousness, to love truth, and to live in harmony with all creation. It is not an external power that constrains us, but an inner one that inspires us. When we listen to this inner voice—when we think clearly, feel deeply, and act with love—we become living channels of the Logos, co-creators with God.
The Logos is not just the beginning of creation. It also has its meaning. In it lies the perfect model of every being, the law of universal harmony, and the ordering principle that governs both the cells of our bodies and the orbits of the planets. Everything that exists—from galaxies to the depths of our hearts—bears the imprint of the Logos.
When we begin to live consciously of this Light, we reconnect with our divine source. We rediscover ourselves not only as human beings but also as sons and daughters of the Logos, bearers of Light. This is the profound calling of the Logos in the world: to remember who we truly are and to become living expressions of Divine Love, Wisdom, and Peace.
Therefore, the Logos is God in expression. And we, each one of us, are living expressions of this Logos—individual lights born from the Light. When we open ourselves to this reality, life becomes not just an outward journey but an inward return to the divine origin from which we were made: “All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men” (John 1:3-4).
